Painted during a one month stay at the park with the Yosemite Conservancy. This painting was painted en plein air on a backpacking trip to LYV including a hike up Half Dome. The inspiration for this piece came from a sketchbook sketch painted on the summit of Half Dome and this piece was created en plein air from the shoulder below the cables.
