Rainier from Granite Mountain
Rainier from Granite Mountain
I painted this from the summit of Granite Mountain at sunrise while Rose Freeman and Anastasia Allison played music. We woke up at 2 AM so we could hike up Granite mountain and see the sunrise. Rose and Anastasia carried their instruments on their backs so they could offer their music to the mountains. I had paper strapped to my pack so I could paint in their company. Check it out here.
Their music offering to the mountains inspired the colors, lines and energy of this painting.

Consider a frame with a UV blocking glass or acrylic with an acid free mat to ensure it’s colors remain as vibrant in a few decades as it does today.
