We are thrilled to partner with Nikki Frumkin of Drawn to High Places for a special hike and paint collaboration event. The Cascade Mountain Adventures team will lead a short beginner friendly hike to a wooded forest viewpoint. Once there, you will enjoy hot beverages prepared by your guide while settling into an open-air watercolor painting session.
The amazing Nikki of Drawn to High Places will lead the group watercolor session to capture the moment. Watercolor painting supplies will be provided or you are welcome to bring your own. Expect to spend approximately one-hour painting at the viewpoint before returning to the trailhead with your new masterpiece.

Join me for a live, online watercolor workshop.
Thu, April 26, 2018
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT
Our goal will be to cover 5-10 basic watercolor techniques that you can add to your painting tool kit.
While we paint, there will be plenty of time to talk about creative voice, technique, process, painting in the backcountry, or any other questions you have. You do not need a ton of painting experience to attend this class. Everyone is welcome!
Autumn in the mountains can be wild, rugged, remote, quiet. In these still places, after the rush of summer, we can find changing light, shifting energy and sparks of magic.
Join local artist Nikki Frumkin — well-known for her watercolor mountain paintings on her website and Instagram Drawn to High Places – at the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center for a two-part watercolor and ink workshop to capture some of these wild Cascadian landscapes on paper.
