Join Nikki for a relaxing weekend watercolor retreat at one of Cooper Spur's cozy log homes at the base of Mount Hood. We will spend the weekend learning a handful of watercolor techniques, exploring the beautiful mountain area, and doing some field painting on our hiking or snowshoeing adventures! We'll be staying at a beautiful, intimate retreat cabin at the base of Mount Hood. In the evening enjoy beautiful views of Mount Hood from the hot tub.

The Weekend!

March 16th- March 18th
Private Log Home with Hot Tub, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort

Day 1 - Get To Know Everybody
Arrive sometime after 5pm and get settled into your space. There is plenty to do from enjoying a roaring fire to relaxing in the hot tub or exploring some of the trails around the cabin. We will cook and have dinner together tonight!

Day 2 - Let's Paint!
We will start the day with a sunrise yoga session. Breakfast is included today from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. After breakfast, let's paint! We will spend the morning learning some watercolor techniques. There will be time to play, practice, and experiment. The cabin has impressive views of Mount Hood which could be our subject. Or be inspired by the other beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon we will plan on a hike or snowshoe do some field painting!

In the evening you will have the option of cooking in the cabin or joining me for a group dinner at the Crooked Tree Restaurant. (Dinner tonight is not included, but it would be great to do something all together!) 

Day 3 - Wrap Up
Enjoy breakfast together, and a discussion about creative voice, art as a business or any questions you might have. Check out is at 11 ( but may be flexible, we will know closer to the weekend). Let's pack up and after the place is clear there will be an option for a hike and draw before we part ways.

About the Cabin

Private Log Home with Hot Tub

Cooper Spur is a magical mountain wonderland at the base of Mt. Hood. The Private Mt. Hood Log Home at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is a spacious four-bedroom, two-bath home with a large back deck. Enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams from the private hot tub! 

Mt. Hood National Forest

The resort is located on the north side of Mt. Hood on 775 acres of forest land adjacent to the Mt. Hood National Forest, with access to nearby hiking and biking trails and cross country skiing in the winter. Located 20 miles east of the city of Portland, Oregon, and the northern Willamette River valley, the Mt.
