Dawn to Dusk is a series of watercolor and ink paintings inspired by the experience of traveling in the mountains.
Many of these paintings were made from Pacific Northwest summits, ridges, lakes and valleys on hiking, climbing and mountaineering trips. The paintings seek to capture the wonder of the mountains and the feeling of energy and calm we experience when we are moving through them. As light and weather move across the mountains, the energy of the landscape and adventure changes. By capturing the essence of the places where we adventure on paper, I hope to inspire the viewer to discover what they already know about who they are and how they belong to the wild.
