With its majestic cliff faces and towering mountains, Yosemite Valley is one of the world’s most popular rock climbing destinations — but climbing is not the only way to enjoy Yosemite’s vertical wilderness. Join artist and alpinist Nikki Frumkin on a this art retreat and spend three days exploring the energy and movement of Yosemite Valley’s magnificent landscape. She’ll inspire and support you as you capture your experience with watercolor and ink.
This class is great for anyone who wants to play with watercolors and embrace the uncertainty of creativity. With Nikki’s guidance, you’ll use colorful art to tell your story of this special place. The mountains inspire big feelings and emotions, and Nikki is excited to help you explore them through watercolor!
Know Before You Go:
- Session 1: Wednesday, June 9 through Saturday, June 12
- Session 2: Monday, June 21 through Thursday, June 24
- Where: Yosemite Valley
- Registration includes: Three days of progressive learning and painting en plein air with artist Nikki Frumkin, park entry (as needed), and three nights of tent camping (June 9, 10, 11) at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley, or upgrade to a Curry Village tent cabin for an additional fee.
